Abstract
|

|
This study was done to know the effects of HERBA SELAGINELLA(HS: Kweon Paek) on the cytotoxic activity of NKcells, the phagocytic activity of macrophages, the antibody production of B cells, and delayed-type hypersensitivity reaction by Tcells in the mouse. The results were as follows.
1. The administration of Kweon Paek enhanced the cytotoxic activity of NK cells and the phagocytic activity of the marcrophage.
2. The administration of Kweon Paek increased the production of reactive oxygen intermediate(ROI) production and reactive nitrogen intermediate(RNI) from macrophages.
3. The administration of Kweon Paek decreased the delayed-type hypersensitivity against dinitrochlorobenzene without affceting T cell subtypes.
4. The administration of Kweon Paek increased the antibody production against sheep and blood cells.
The above results suggest that Kweon Paek could be used for the prevention and treatment of the diseases caused by the abnormalities of the bodys immune functions.
